| Obsidian Butterfly is a Fire Dance and Performing ARTS Troupe offering original works of art for the betterment of the world. Our shows are one of kind and active works of art, no show is the same. The stage is our blank canvas and upon it we paint images of sacred geometry, nature, animals, colors, interwoven with stories of real life, myth, and fairy tales. We use multiple styles of dance, movement, and expression infused with art, music, theatrics, costuming, and ritual to create a story unique to each shows theme. We have been performing together for 5 years. Each member is a master of their h'ART contributing a unique talent. We have worked repeatedly with the Sacramento Visitors and Convention Bureau, the Grove of the Oak, the Gallery Horse Cow, The Brickhouse ART Studios, UNMATA and Hot Pot, as well as received funding from SMAC (Sacramento Municipal ARTS Commission) to put on Sacramento's First festival celebrating Fire, ART, Music, and Dance; The Fire Spectacular. |
