| Sequoia Sequoia TREE. Ancient and deep. One day I sat at her trunk as she wept. Her nectar of pain was something I kept. A tantalizing fire in the shadow of the night, My happiness comes from your ultimate delight! Owner, Teacher, and Director Sequoia founded Obsidian Butterfly with her Fire Dancing Partner Alix Fire Fairy in 2003. Alix moved to Santa Cruz to pursue other endeavours. In 2008 Obsidian Butterfly became an official Fire Entertainment Company based in Sacramento, Ca. Sequoia performs and teaches classes in POI, Fire Dance, Fire Safety, and Yoga. | Molly Butterfly Psyren Sighs! Psyren's Eyes! I am the Goddess of the Sea and my dance is the Ocean. Beautiful and Rythmic, A mesmerizing, silent, melody I sing. It's the mystical revelation of fluidity I bring. Molly is an original member of the group and has been spinning with Sequoia since before the group existed in 2004. Molly is known for her beautiful and mesmerizing deer eyes, her graceful flowing like water fire dance, and her enormous fire toys that she makes herself. She brings a unique and original creative inspiration to the group. |

I am the Goddess of Long Life and Light.
Leona began her fire dancing career in 2007 taking classes
from Sequoia. She has been dancing in the troupe since 2008.
She takes belly dancing classes from Hot Pot Studio and brings an elegant and beautiful
dance style to our mix. She has spent many years perfecting her dance.
