Director

Sequoia is a world class fire performer, choreographer, teacher, collaborative
collage artist, dancer, as well as the co-founder of Obsidian Butterfly and Sacred
Fire Dance.  She enjoys using a collection of creative mediums to express herself
ranging from movement, visual art, painting, written expression, and healing touch
that weave together the multitude of her embodiment.   A devote fire yogini with a
deep love for dance and creative movement, as well as a natural born performer,
she thrives on sharing the radiant expressions of her energetic creative works with
audiences around the world. From back yard parties, school functions, festivals,
weddings, grand openings, sacred ceremonies, to corporate events; her
performances are a captivating journey that will ignite your inner fire.   With a special
flare for embodied movement and group choreography, she has performed and
choreographed shows for the Sacramento Convention and Visitors Bureau 2003 -
2011, Callson Manor Haunted Theme Park from 2009 to Current, CBS Radio,  as
well as with Fire Pixie Entertainment at both the 2009 California State Fair (82
shows, 18 days), at Huis Ten Bosch Theme Park in Japan 2013, 2014, and 2015
(over 1000 shows).  She also performs Fire Hula shows with Hula Event and has
worked for Aloha Polynesia and Island Breeze.
Dance and Movement Studies:
Belly Dance, Hula, Tai-Chi, Qi-Gong, Odissi Dance, Afro-Caribbean Dance, Modern
Dance, Ecstatic Dance, Tap Dance, Yoga, and Taekwondo.

Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher; RYT (750 hours)
Creative Movement Therapy; B.A. 2016
Massage Therapy and Reiki II - 2001 - 2005

Yoga bi-weekly classes 2008 - 2013; California Family Fitness, Natomas, CA
Teaching Poi, Fire Dance, and Safety classes 2006 to current,
Performing fire shows and dance since 2003.
