Nataraja
Nataraja is a tribal fusion belly dance group formed and directed
by JR in early 2012. Nataraja dancers are JR, Fajera, Janelle,
Dorian and Tisha.  They are excited to be participating in this
years event and hope you enjoy their performance.
Flux
Sacramento-based fire performance troupe founded in 2007
that performs at a variety of public and private events
including Burning Man, Sacramento's annual Fire
Spectacular, weddings, fundraisers, and parties.
2014 Performances
Drumsum
Brings Drum Circles and Percussion Performances to your group or
venue. Drumsum is a 1-7 member band that interpretes various rhythms
from around the world with Vocals, Didgeridoos, Percussion, and melodic
instruments, providing meditative, trance dance, and multi cultural rock
music.
Sacred Fire
We are Sacramento's premier fire dance and performing arts
group since 2003, also known as Obsidian Butterfly.  Our shows
include multiple styles of dance and music, infused with myth and
fantasy to create a unique story told through movement.  Please
join us for the 2013 Fire Spectacular where we will show you the
stories of thirteen fire dancers as they intertwine flow, and move
through a carefully designed mandala of rhythm and shape.  
Welcoming Sacred Fire's newest fire performers to the Fire
Spectacular for the first time, our experienced dancers and
students will share the stage for one exciting fire show.

The Roma Flame
The Roma Flame started as three friends, and slowly expanded into a full
troupe.  They wish to spread awareness about every day issues, and
express emotions through their dances.
Nusku Tribe
Nusku Tribe is a fusion dance troupe, Directed by Kari
VanderZwaag, performing original choreography, Amy Sigil’s
Improvisational Tribal Style (ITS), and fire dance.

We are city dwellers honoring both ancient and modern times
as a band of creative rebels. Nusku is the name of the light and
fire god of ancient Babylonia and is the symbol of heavenly and
terrestrial fire. We embody not only the joy of dancing with fire,
but an intense passion of commitment to dance and artistic
expression that matches the qualities of this element. Nusku
Tribe is based at Hot Pot Studios in Sacramento, CA, home of
UNMATA.
Brotherhood of Firebenders
Through unified dance and the Love of Fire we discovered a
creative force greater than any one individual and became the
Brotherhood of Firebenders. To touch yet deeper realms of the
spirit we have learned to embrace and incoorporate the
uniqueness of our own personalities, thus enhancing the
strength of this collective energy. We strive to share this with
you and bring the best of our creative expression through the
art of fire dancing. We are The Brotherhood of Firebenders.
Luna Roots
Luna Roots was formed Five years ago in Davis California. A
family of friends united under the moonlight to share each
others many talents and various fire toys. The flow and
synergy that has evolved over time derives from our passion
to dance with fire. The members of Luna will continue to plant
the seed of inspiration and imagination to all.

Omi Mahina
Om Mahina is a tribal fusion dance and juggling duo that uses music
and dance to heal, empower, and entertain.  They offer performances
and teach classes in Roseville, CA.

Hillbelly
Resides in Big Bend, California a very small mountain community
about 4 hours drive from Sacramento. We are hip mothers,
organic gardeners, and land lovin' devotees of Mama Earth!
Nafeesa
Nafeesa Lynn has been studying Odissi, an ancient devotional
temple dance from Orissa, India, since 2001 with Guru Sri Vishnu
Tattva Das in the style of the late Guru Sri Kelucharan
Mohapatra. Over the years, she has traveled to India to
intensively study Odissi at the Odissi Research Center in Orissa
and at the Smitalay Dance Academy in Mumbai. Nafeesa is a
senior company dancer and teacher for the Odissi Vilas Dance
Company based in Marin, California. Through the pure grace and
beauty of Odissi dance, Nafeesa hopes to inspire others to carry
on this ancient and sacred classical Indian art form and tradition.
